Yawan Kissan Library for Information & Broadcasting Resource Authority (YK LIBRA)a national level organization working for agri-based livelihood promotion has conducted a training program on 15thDecember 2025 focusingon “Modern Technologies of Horticulture”at West Charakbai Community Hall, Jolaibari Block, SouthTripura. Central Institute of Horticulture (CIH), Dimapur, Nagaland under Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India has supported to organize the training. YK-LIBRAand CIH are putting efforts to strengthen the overall farming skills of the farmers byadopting Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), sustainable farming, value addition at local level and exploring alternate markets for better price realization. In the training program, 50 farmers participated fromJolaibari Block with the action plan to implement the new learnings in their field. The farmers basically grow Paddy, turmeric, pineapple, orange, banana and seasonal vegetables. This training will help the farmers and the EPFCs for better productivity with better price realization along with achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
